Sending gifts with Sound Delivery is simple! Just search for the person you'd like to send a gift to, and we will show you how many minutes they would like.
You can pay securely with any major credit card, and your gift recipient will receive an email notifying them of your generous gift as soon as you make your purchase.
You can search by anything: mother's name, partner/spouse's name, email, phone number, or address. For the privacy of those in the registry we will only show you their names and cities.
Your gift recipient will love being able to play the words of loved ones for their new baby—ensuring a sound beginning for their baby.
We want your experience with the Sound Beginnings ® device and the Sound Delivery service to be as enjoyable as possible. In order to help you get the most out of our products, we have created this list of helpful hints.
We recommend reading through the tips before recording a message.
- Make sure that you have clear reception.
The recording will only be as good as the phone and signal on which it was recorded. We recommend strongly that you do not use a speaker phone.
- Remember to speak loudly.
This is an important message that you want to be heard. The volume at which you speak will effect the clarity and loudness of the recording.
- Find a quiet location.
Background noises may be distracting and, if loud enough, could be recorded in message. Make sure that you have a quiet location where you will not be disturbed to record your message.
- Know what you want to say!
Remember, minutes are deducted from your account as soon as you hear the tone. Take some time to think about what you would like to say before making the phone call. You may even want to write down and rehearse your message to maximize your time.
- Relax and speak clearly and calmly.
- Have fun!
Welcome to the Sound Delivery service. Read through this entire document before beginning the service. Sound Delivery utilizes Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology to record and digitize telephone messages. As with all technology, there are certain guidelines and understanding how the system works will help you to maximize your experience.
Beginning the call
When you call the Sound Delivery 1-800 number, you will immediately be prompted to entire the code that you have registered on the Sound Delivery website. This code was found in the Sound Beginnings ® packaging or generated by registering on the site. You may share the code with friends and family but the time that they use to leave messages will be deducted from your account and messages will automatically be transferred to your account.
Once you have entered the code, if it is correct you will be given a summary of available minutes and a tone will sound to begin the recording process. Please be aware that you are responsible for monitoring the duration of the call. Once you have exceeded the available minutes the recording will be terminated and there will not be an additional opportunity to add to this message.
If you have entered the code incorrectly, you will be prompted to re-enter the code. If you have not yet registered your code on the Sound Delivery web page, this means that your has not been activated for use.
During the call
Once you have heard the tone, recording has begun. You may press the # key at any moment to pause or end the recording. The time used is calculated from the moment the tone sounds and will end when the call has been completed. Time used will not necessarily reflect the final message time. Pausing the service will not stop the clock. Only ending the call will end the transaction. For example, you may chose to pause, rewind, delete and re-record a message. The total recording time will reflect the duration of the call itself once the tone has sounded.
During the message you may interact with the service by pressing the following keys:
- #: Pause the message
- ##: End the message
- 2: Resume a paused recording
- 3: Listen to your recording
- 4: Rewind your recording
- 6: Fast forward your recording
- 9: Erase your recording and begin again
While you may rewind to listen to your message, you will be unable to go back to edit a recording. Once you have finished listening to the audio you may resume recording, end and save the message or delete the message.
Please remember, you will be unable to edit or add to a message once you have ended a phone call.
In order to end the message and exit the service, you may press the # key twice or simply hang up.
After the call
Once you have completed the phone call, you may log in to your account on the Sound Delivery web page to access the digital file.
At that time, you can title the file, add notes and/or download it to an MP3 device. You will also be able to access updated information about the number of minutes remaining in your account and purchase additional minutes.
If you have not named the recording on the web site it will appear in iTunes/Windows Media Player named as the phone number of the person who recorded the message. Many of our users find it easiest to preview, name, and then download files because this ensures each recording has a useful name.
Send a gift to
Each time someone calls in to leave a message their total call time is deducted from their available minutes. The time used is calculated from the moment the tone sounds and will end when the call has been completed. Time used will not necessarily reflect the final message time. Pausing the service will not stop the clock. Only ending the call will end the transaction.
We use industry standard SSL technology to encrypt and protect your information. We will never save your card number.
